I want to live here. Close the gates and have supplies flown in every now and again, or else have one of the regular tugs on the Tombigbee drop stuff off when I need it. Ditch the computers, the phones, etc. This little oxbow is just a cool piece of water. When I think of deep south water and fishing, this is the place I think about. It has everything. Open water, swamp, a river, gators, bass (big ones), crappie (really big ones), gar, carp, deer, boar, turkey, a really cool cabin, and an access road that requires serious 4WD. This is my third or fourth time here. Buddy of mine owns much of the land around the lake. Only one other family owns land there, so it's basically a private lake. Several hundred acres of water I guess. The fishing? Yeah it was great, but really something of an afterthought. Icing on the cake so to speak. I would be pretty happy just paddling these waters for the next couple of decades or so.
