Trip Report - Carp Flats are heating up - 4/14
The day started with this nice grassie, followed by a dozen or so small commons in the 4-5 lb range. All came on an unweighted #12 PT. These fish will absolutely not tolerate any large and/or weighted flies right now. They'll spook if the fly hits the water with anything but the lightest "plip". So a small pheasant-tail nymph on a 12 foot 2X leader was the ticket to hook-ups. Otherwise, it was spook city.
